Welcome to the Eighth Annual Bernalillo County Sugar Skull Fun Run!
Get ready to walk, jog, strut and stroll your way along the picturesque Bosque with this year’s Sugar Skull Fun Run, taking place on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022 at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, 1701 4th Street SW.
This year, participants can select from a timed 5K for runners, a 5k fun walk/run or a one-mile strut and stroll for strollers and pets. Whether you are walking, jogging or running your way to the finish line, we look forward to cheering you on in your Día de los Muertos attire!
Sugar Skull Fun Run Schedule
8 a.m. 5K Timed (new this year)
8:15 a.m. 5K Fun Run (not timed)
8:30 a.m. One-mile Strut and Stroll (pets welcome)
Visit the Muerto Market and enjoy products from local vendors until noon! Food trucks will also be on-site.

Registration fee includes the coveted Sugar Skull Fun Run t-shirt. This year’s design is by local artist Spenser Onorato. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrants through Sept. 1.Día de los Muertos themed attire is encouraged but not required.
Children seven years and younger can participate for FREE – no registration required. T-shirts can be purchased separately.Pets are welcome for the one-mile strut and stroll.

Packet Pick-Up
Friday, Oct. 21 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. and
Saturday, Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Sports Systems, 6915 Montgomery Blvd NE.
Packets not picked up on these days will be available on race day at the event information desk.
The annual fun run benefits the Bernalillo County Quality of Life Fund.
